Max Run Length & Recommended Power
- Maximum run: 16.5 ft (5 m) per power feed. The 48 ft and 82 ft reels must be cut into runs of 16.5 ft or less, each with its own feed wire.
- Power: about 4.6W per foot, so a full 16.5 ft run draws about 76W. Load a transformer to no more than 80% of its rating, so one run needs at least 95W.
Recommended transformers (power your RGBW controller, which handles color and dimming):
- Indoor / dry location: Compact 96W 24V LED Transformer – White | Black
- Damp or wet location: 96W 24V LED Transformer (IP65)
- Do not put a wall dimmer on the transformer's line when using an RGBW controller. Check that the controller is rated for the wattage of the run it controls.
- Connecting any transformer to 120V power should be done by a licensed electrician.
